This saddle has some history! It may not be suitable for just anyone! Because of this, before asking questions or wanting more pics/info, please research JG Read and Bros Co Ogden, Utah. They used a specific stamp prior to the 1920's that set them apart from other saddle makers. They named their saddles after a famous racehorse.
Handmade as a custom order, initials on back of the cantle say "LHR". On the back skirt, it has a knife holder on the left and added in saddle bag. The stirrups are laced, common before the Belvin buckle was invented after WWII. The last pic will show all of the stamps on the saddle.
, on the back of the seat is the company stamp for JG Read, on the back of the cantle is LHR for whoever had the saddle made and on both fenders it is stamped with "To" and underlined. You can reach out to the maker who still operates in Ogden UT.
