Vintage 1880s D. E. Walker Visalia SADDLE

  
This is a well made, in good condition, vintage Visalia saddle from the 1880s. The seat is 13.5 " and the gullet is 6.5 ". It has been kept indoors for many years. The leather is soft and pliable with a lovely patina. It has a complete set of original silver conchos, also in good condition. My late husband re-fleeced and replaced the strings many years ago.

The stirrups look to be original and also have matching silver conchos. The stirrup leathers were originally tied, but my husband added Blevins buckles so I could also ride the saddle. Note that there are some chew marks from a busy puppy on the left fender. Fortunately, we caught her before any major damage!
