This is such a beautiful tool leather saddle that's marked with a maker that I understand made saddles from the 30s to the 50s. This one especially is neat with the red leather seat. The seat measures 14 inches.
And I used a little bit of weather cleaner to clean it up as it's been sitting for many years. The leather did seem to soften up. One side of the bottom is folded up under itself from being stored poorly, but the leather is still moldable, and I think it would bend back in the right way. It is missing a wooden stirrup on one side. And it might need some other weather work on the straps, but I don't know too much about that.
This would make a beautiful show or decoration piece as well I think.
