With the holidays approaching we are trying to get everyone ready. That means we will be listing new saddles and other items over the next few weeks.
Today we are offering this George Lawrence Saddle Company saddle for sale. It was made here in the USA in Portland, Oregon when real materials and craftsmanship existed.
This company started in 1857 and operated continuously until 1985. There is a very interesting video about the company on Face Book if you would like to know more!
Whether your looking for a show piece or a totally usable saddle, take a look a this beauty. This saddle has a 14.5 inch smooth leather seat that is tooled. It has one of the deepest cantled seats we have seen. The freak pommel is just as deep. This saddle is hand tooled with the classic floral pattern, on the rear of the skirt there is a bucking bronco. The leather is not all dry and cracked, but clean and flexible. The lining is clean and has no holes or wear spots, it has definitely been professionally redone at some point in it's life. The stirrup leathers have not been cut or altered in anyway. This saddle was built before our blevins buckles of today and features the old laced style. It does have nice wide leather wrapped stirrups.
The tree is Rock solid. The horn has no wiggle or wobble.
Someone has added a few extras like straps for a breast collar and a ring behind the seat, we are assuming for a crupper. Overall skirt length is 28 inches.
Total weight is 38 pounds. Read and Trust our FEEDBACK!
We are a genuine retail saddle shop with a real store front. Thanks for looking and please check out our other items up for sale.
