More flare to the bars in front -- Free shoulders 3. Skirt attachment -- Doesn't constrict the horse 4. Molded skirts -- Skirts don't rub horse 5.

Molded fenders -- Allows easy access to stirrups 6. Quality materials -- Saddle lasts 7. Fifth generation tree maker -- Backed by experience 8. Fourth generation leather tanner -- Backed by experience 9. Real Wool -- Allows the horse greater comfort 10.

Seats designed for a human pelvis -- Comfort 11. Special triangle plate rigging -- Frees the horse's movement. We focus our efforts on rib cage shape. As we define shapes we create them in a bar and then give them a number.

We currently produce four bars that vary in the elements of Twist rock and fl air. Twist is the element that gets the bar to go parallel to the surface of the back. The more sprung the rib cage the greater the amount of change in the angle.

The twist occurs where the whither intersects with the rib cage. Flair is the opening up of the front of the bars to allow for shoulder movement and sideways undulations of the spine. Rock is the element of the bar that allows for the up and down undulations of the spine. Our number one bar is designed for a horse that has a moderately sprung rib cage that is fairly straight from the base of the whither back.

It would be our equivalent to what the industry calls a Quarter horse bar. This used About the Horse Trail saddle is in fairly good condition. The tree is sound for riding. All nylon billets are still in good working order but latigo has stretched a bit and may need replacing.

Leather is butter soft but does have some discoloration and wear marks from regular use throughout. Suede seat has some scuffs and has been worn smooth in some sections. The cordura fenders and skirt are in very good shape. (please see the photos to investigate).
