Uncommon Double R USA 15 Western Suede/Rawhide Saddle

  

It is a solid 15 used Double R western saddle with a red suede seat that's perfect for all-day comfort and security in the saddle. The seat size is the most ubiquitous one at 15 (sits true to size; great for average adults or youth transitioning up).

The seat material is a smooth red suede. It has been very well broken in but it has lots of life and hours left in it!

These seats are renowned for their excellent grip to keep you planted during turns, roping, trails, or ranch work helps minimize slipping! Please observe photos to confirm what our research shows. Tree/Bars: Whereas we have measured the gullet width, please see photos. We have measured these at 7, which indicates full quarter horse bars (happy to provide more measurements/photos on request).

Horn & Pommel: Sturdy build with a practical horn 3" height by 2.5" diameter and comfortable high-knee pommel height for support. Rigging: Round skirt, as shown in photos, that is also red suede. Condition: Gently used with normal wear from riding light surface scratches, some patina on leather, the suede seat is intact with no rips, tears, or fraying, but it does have some fading. The same is true with the leather; it is supple and well-oiled (by us), having no major cracks, broken stitching, or structural issues but it is well broken-in.

Fleece is good (may need a clean/refresh). The stirrups are the same material as that on the cantle; it has been cleaned and oiled but it does show it has been loved and used plenty.

The leather lacing is intact and in good condition. Overall, this saddle looks great and is unique in so many ways.

Included with this saddle is the billet strap for front and back and both are in VERY good condition. This is a reliable workhorse saddle-ideal for trail riding, pleasure, light ranch/roping use, or as a starter/backup saddle. Not a fancy show piece, but built tough and comfortable where it counts.
