Beautiful amazing quality lightweight trail saddle. This leather is very nice. Perfect saddle for petite adult or a youth rider. A young rider can easily saddle their own horse and ride securely in this saddle. This was perfect for my 5 foot daughter. However we aren't using it much and she also wants a dressage saddle so we will see if anyone would like this for a Christmas gift. "Trail Boss" saddle from the Steele saddle company, handmade in Tennessee individually. This is a deep seated, secure trail saddle , the seat measures 15 inches, but is deep so feels just slightly smaller to me.

The tree is one of their custom trees, this one fits a wide shouldered short backed horse very nicely. The best I can describe it is just slightly wider than most. It has a nice shoulder flare and the gullet measures 7 inches.

Black smooth leather seat, and dark chocolate brown leather on the rest of the saddle. These fenders are their shortest fenders for someone 4'10" to about 5'3". Longer fenders can easily be ordered from the company. Leather latigo and leather off billet. Upgraded Lightweight cedar tree, this saddle weighs about 23 pounds.

I can include the black pad with real fleece wool. 27" long, 3/4 inch thick, compresses to 1/2". The foam core is 1 thick in the center and tapers to each end. There are rub marks in both sides under the stirrups from the Blevins type buckles rubbed on the leather because we had the stirrups adjusted short. Does not cause any issue with the saddle.
