

Antique1890s Samuel Caldwell Gallup Pueblo Style Slick-Fork Stock Saddle. Made in Pueblo Colorado by the S. Saddle has a 16 inch seat.
The saddle has a exposed brass horn. These were the hallmark of high-end Pueblo saddles favored by trail bosses, stock contractors and wealthy ranchers. The Rugged "Pueblo Style" saddle was built to handle the tough work of cowboys breaking horses and working cattle. The saddle has the original leather lace adjustment for the stirrups. Saddle has simple clean tooling - classic border stamping along edges of the cantle and fork. Leather is in overall good condition still supple no cracking. The saddle is a museum worthy example of Colorado rich saddle making history.Saddle is in very good complete condition for a working peace of late 19th century cowboy gear.
