The saddle weighs about 35 pounds. The measurements from the center of the horn back to the center of the rim on top of the seat is 16 inches. The skirt of the saddle is 38 inches long.
The sheep skin lining works ok with a good saddle pad other wise a new liner is not that terribly expensive. The saddle was made in Miles City, Montana. Cogshell seemed to be the cadilac of working saddles. Strong, dependable, an easy keeper. Stirrups, fenders, and the rest of the saddle have seen wear from good O everyday use.
