Crates western trail ranch saddle 15 1/2 model #150 + breast collar & chinch

  

Beautiful, well kept, Crates Trail Saddle model #150. Fully tooled with suede seat. Seat is just under 15 1/2", gullet is about 7 1/2". Considered a SQH bars but wider than most I've owned.

Comes with a vintage TexTan back cinch and a Vintage Tooled Silver Royal breast collar. (not the modern brand name, but a quality USA piece). Saddle is in very good condition, and very comfortable.

Perfect for trail riding or Ranch Riding competitions. I used it on my 17H Thoroughbred built like a warmblood, with a thick body and sharks fin withers. The suede seat is padded and comfortable.

The stirrups are kept turned when stored so you don't have to fight with them. It does show signs of wear from normal use. The leather parts are in good shape, there are a few dings (see photos), and the normal wear of the finish from use. The leather parts have been thoroughly cleaned and oiled.

The shine is from a light coating and buffing using a saddle product with wax for protection. No quick fix chemicals or coatings. The shearling is in excellent condition and clean.

It is man-made, and there is a slight sign of wear at the edges (see photos). The saddle has been stored indoors, and in a climate controlled tack room.

Saddle alone weighs about 30 lbs.
