This is a heavy-duty, traditional build that would make a great "extra" ranch saddle, a restoration project, or a stunning piece of rustic home decor. Seat: The padded suede seat shows heavy wear, including areas of thinning leather and loss of material (see photos). Leather: The tooled leather is thick and intact but has typical scuffs, scratches, and darkening from use.
It would benefit from a deep cleaning and conditioning. Saddles are heavy and bulky.
I have provided high-resolution photos to show the exact condition. Hardware/Fleece: Shows surface rust on metal rings and typical flattening of the underside fleece. Tree: Feels solid (no visible cracks or major shifting), but as with all vintage tack, a safety check by a professional is recommended before riding.
