Rugged well made Bull Dogging, Calf Roping saddle by the well respected Bools and Butler Saddle Makers of Reno, Nevada. This saddle was probably made in the 50's, when saddles were really made. It is in solid, ready to work condition. The fleece is excellent, the long, long latigos are new, the rear cinch latigos are new, thick, and rugged. Rope latigo is new and decorative, several other conchos are new as well.

The fleece is very good, and I believe a recent replacement. The stirrup leathers are in great condition, and they have been recently upgraded to Blevins type buckles. It also has big, rugged, leather covered stirrups.

Gullet is between 6 3/4 and 7 inches, photo is the last one shown in the pictures. The saddle will accommodate a high withered horse. Everything about the saddle is healthy and solid.

70 years haven't presented any challenge to its solidity or worthiness. These Bools and Butler saddles rarely come on the market, people who own them keep them.

When one does show up, they are instead being sought by collectors all over the country. Ride this one for the next 40 years, take care of it, and you will undoubtedly reap a big profit if you then sell it. The horn must have had a big silver concho which has been removed.
