14 Vintage Silver Royal All Around Saddle. Here is another one of those'trusty rusty' saddles, made when saddles were made right and tight.

This is an older 14 Silver Royal All Around Saddle, one that is ready to be your casual trail partner, or even your daily riding saddle. Given the style this one is from the late 1970's or 1980's, with the deep hand tooling and silver lacing around the whole skirt. This one measures 15" to stitching, but with the higher twist, fitting like at 14". On Semi Bars with decent wither clearance, a bit flatter, measuring 6.

Very adjustable stirrups, going short enough for a youth rider, but surprisingly long, too. This is the perfect cross between an Equitation and All Around saddle, with sharp detailing like an Eq saddle with the silver lacing along the skirt and cantle, but with the suede seat and jockeys like an older barrel saddle. It is surely comfortable enough to do it all! This saddle has seen a lot of ride time, but has also been very well cared for.

The leather is very soft. However, does show some blemishes in the form of a naughty baby horse bit mark on the swell, a bit of wear to the rawhide horn, and some damage to the front skirt where the leather is has rubbed through to the rope interior that makes the lacing. However, is minor and high up under the pommel. For those of you who appreciate the look of older saddles, this one is for you!

Silver Royal is an economy saddle brand now, but this one is far from economy. Made when Silver Royal was one of the nicer saddleries. This is definitely a saddle to see, especially at this price!
