1930's CUSTOM BUILT Highback 3/4 single rigged saddle. Rose, California Poppy, Acorns, lillies. FULLY LINEED JOCKEYS & FENDERS.

TOP OF THE LINE WORKING SADDLE. Another Fine example from my private collection of saddles from. "The GOLDEN ERA of " CLASSIC California Saddle Makers. This Visalia shows some of the most beautiful tooling that I have ever seen anywhere.

There is virtually no space between any of the tooling and the flowers leaves and acorns are a work of the master of his day. Included is the original Visalia Chincha with tooled buckle covers. Also the reata strap is the original tooled strap. Very rare for a saddle of this Era.

It also is still soft and supple. This Visalia is Collector quality all the way.

This Visalia has the high back cantle , single rig. Sloping horn, small round skirts, and narrow fenders to make it a Classic one hand saddle. Use the great magnification tool to see the fine detail and talent that was used. VISALIA STANDS SECOND TO NONE IN THE CLASSIC EARLY CALIFORNIA SADDLE MAKERS. THEY SET THE BENCH MARK FROM TREE MAKING TO TOOLING TO STERLING SADDLES FOR THE RICH AND FAMOUS.

VISALIA ALSO MADE THE EVERY DAY WORKING SADDLE THAT WAS BUILT TO BE RIDDEN IN 7 DAYS A WEEK for YEARS AND STAND UP THE THE HARSH CONDITIONS OF. A WORKING MAN MIGHT RIDE MANY HORSES BUT HE ONLY RODE ONE SADDLE. THIS SADDLE IS A GREAT PEICE TO PRESENT IN A PLACE OF HONOR HOWEVER NOT UNTIL IT SITS ON THE BACK OF A QUALITY HORSE AND IS RIDDEN IN AND WARMED UP DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHY. Who ever built this rig has added 17 rough out tapaderos. More that likely he or she rode the rough country and didn't want a chunk of chaparral shoved between boot and stirrup. They are part of the story of this saddle.

As well as a couple of the nicks and chincks here and there from a tree rub or spur across the cantle. These are brush strokes across the canvas that make up the story of this very cool saddle. The Beautiful Sterling Conchos on this saddle are very classy and just enough to add that personal touch. Custom Fully Tooled in 4 flower pattern. Rigging: 3/4 single rigged Flat Ring type.

Cantle 3.5 high back. Taps: 17 with leather covered stirrups. I have done my best to show the condition of this saddle. I have taken many pictures.
