1975 Smith & Edwards Western Trail Saddle 15 seat Made in Ogden UT Bundle
HIGHLY DURABLE piece of Western history: a vintage 1975 Smith & Edwards Western Trail/Pleasure Saddle. HANDMADE in the back of the legendary Smith & Edwards store in Ogden, Utah, this saddle represents the peak of rugged, American leather craftsmanship. Built on a rock-solid tree with heavy oiled skirting leather, this saddle is built to last a LIFETIME and is ready to hit the trails TODAY! Saddle Specifications: Smith & Edwards (1975) Ogden, UT Seat Size: 15 (Features a comfortable, classic stitched padded dark leather seat) Hardware: original vintage metal Blevins buckles stamped out of Wheatland, WY. The stirrup leathers are in great shape, and the sleeves slide smoothly for easy adjustment. Stirrups: Classic, leather-wrapped wood stirrups in solid condition. Included Extras: To make this saddle completely trail-ready right out of the box, we have paired it with: -Brand new latigo -New 32 Mustang mohair cinch. Condition: This saddle is in EXCELLENT vintage condition. Barely used over the last 50 years. The leather is thick, pliable, and free of dry rot or structural damage. It was not stored in a hot barn with mice.
It has a beautiful, authentic patina that only comes with age. The tree is sound, and all fleece lining underneath is intact and clean.
