14.5 Longhorn by Billy Cook All Around Western Saddle. This saddle is stunning, one that was made when saddles were hand built and hand tooled. Proof that quality saddles last and are worth the investment.

This really unique saddle is a Longhorn made by Billy Cook, which all the detailing you'd expect from a classic Billy Cook. Built to be a true all around saddle with a barrel racer flare. Offers a semi-deep seat, free swinging fenders, single skirt and taller barrel racing style horn. However is plenty comfortable enough for trails and every day riding. This one is a 15" saddle, however with the deeper and scoopy seat, fits true to 14.5".

On QH Bars that measure 7, which is deceptively wide. This one has a more "A" framed/pitched tree with wider shoulder flare and is flatter through the bars. This is perfect for a horse with slightly narrower top line but has a wider shoulder and barrel. This one is build on a ralide tree, making it surprisingly lightweight.

What really makes this saddle so unique is both the tooling and silver. Skirts, cantle, and pommel are all hand tooled in classic acorn and oak leaf tooling on chestnut leather. Finished off with stunning Alpaca silver conchos, including the big square rear rigging plates. Per serial number, this one was made in 1987 and is a one-owner saddle.

Yes, it's seen plenty of ride time, but lots of quality care too. Shows less wear than you'd expect other than a few scuffs/scrapes and a bit of inconsistent darkening to the leather. However, given its age, this one is in incredible condition! You can't go wrong with this pretty, older saddle. Seat: 15", fits like 14.5".
