- High Back Western Saddle - 13½ Seat. Marking on the saddle - look at the pictures. This is used round skirt Victor Marden saddle - Victor Marden was a renowned saddle and harness maker who operated a business in The Dalles, Oregon, from around 1900 to 1916 - I have not cleaned it up (straight out of the barn) -it is a high back (7") - stirrups are wooden with metal band (I beleive they are newer) -underside wool pad is worn down and need to be replaced - overall I would say most of it orginal - tree is solid with a brass horn- look at the pictures for the measurements - not much I can say about the saddle - this saddle can be used for my opinion - Skirt size 23½" in length and 8 width (that is from center lace to outside) - person can add to a collection or decor. Please look at the pictures closely to see the condition. It was bought at an estate sale. Actual weight - 29 lb.
